Fashion shows, weeks, brunches and all that jazz are extremely fun to attend na’mean! you get to capture the media’s attention displaying your street style. You might as well be dressing up for work or to promote your personal brand.
Well here are some tips you’ve probably not been giving attention to.
KNOW A TAILOR: the worst kind of joke is to come around looking like a piece of sack_ creases, terrible hems and all sorts, trust me those are fashion disasters. It has to fit, the colours has to coordinate.
those cameras has eye for every detail you hope it would look pass.
ACCESSORY: sometimes we get caught up things leaving us no room to prepare, and we go all the way up buying new clothes that we would pass down to our cupboard for months to come up, but what you didn’t know is that even your accessory could even change your look completely. I mean your hair, make up, nails, purses, belts.
A CUSTOM LOOK: apart from not having what to wear or getting disinterested in new clothes, you could totally RECYCLE! tumblr, YouTube, Pinitrest is a world on its own, let this inspire/challenge you and create some pieces that would make your frenemies and the internet “Oh” “Whoa” about you for ages.
THE FRIEND: sometimes it gets awful sitting alone with no one to talk to,voice your comments about the pieces to, do yourself a favour and bring a friend along, But do avoid being the Debbie downer in your pack who is the “know is all” of all fashion innovations/ imitations. you’re only depriving yourself of the fun in the show.
THE SUNGLASSES EFFECT: we all know how cool it is to match your sunglasses to your lips or whichever, the boss look is always gorgeous! Moreover in the dim light showing those couture and ready to wear designs, you’ll practically need all the extra lighting to truly enjoy the pieces being paraded before you and other incredibly stylish dressed people.
1) bringing your credentials such as ID card, ticket that would ensure you’re meant to attend the show.
2) it would be smart to come early to avoid embarrassment from the security team and also to reserve a good seat too.
3) Give the show your full attention as that’s the best form of respect an attendee can bestow on the designer.
4) keep self promotion to the minimum.
